Joachim Romain (1973) | French | Street art

Joachim Romain’s work raises the question of the permanence of things. What will remain of our consumerist society in which reigns the cult of personality, entertained by omnipresent advertising? From outdoor ads, the French artist conceives and sets portraits of contemporary icons, artists and politicians on various media such as wood and aluminum, only to print on them the effect of the passage of time by cutting, burning and reshaping their faces.

A resident of cultural space the 6B in the surroundings of Paris, Joachim's work is regularly presented in exhibitions. He is also active in the streets of Paris, where he participate in collages sesssions with two group of artists, "Les Francs Colleurs", and "Les Jeudi Collés".
